On July 5, 2010 Phyllis and I gave notice to our respective employers. While we were excited to be moving forward with our plans, we were sad to be leaving our new Cali coworkers/friends. We were both touched by our employers' responses and their warm wishes. My employer began immediately interviewing replacements so that I could provide some training to the new person. We/they welcomed Anne on my final week. I was touched by the outpouring of support and I will miss the people with whom I worked.
Phyllis had been with her company for 8 years and had to tell people in Nola, SF, Oaks, PA, and her long term customers that she was leaving. She also was touched by the love and support she received. We both intend to keep in touch with those coworkers and customers we came to call friends.
Our last day of work was July 23, 2010 and we would be lying if we said we aren't THRILLED to be currently retired!!!
